Goals

  • To ensure, through close coordination, that CIT Comms. work program is in line with MCIT objectives as well as those of the TRA and all other relevant Government Agencies.
  • Ensure Buy in from the Communications Sector Community.
  • Create direct channels with all working entities to allow identification of issues where CIT can add value and resolve.
  • Participate in developing the Human Resources capabilities to be able to cope with Local, Regional, and International standards & Requirements.
  • Enhance the Egyptian Telecommunications Market through setting standards and Classifications of working entities to ensure healthy competition, Quality of Service and Market Growth.
  • Establish PR presence & work through the various Media channels to enhance awareness both Nationally & Internationally.

Achievements

  • Formed various committees to cover all activities of the Telecom, Sector these include the following:
    • Companies Classification Committee.
    • Human Resources development Committee.
    • Public Relation Committee.
    • Coordination with Government and Telecom Egypt Committee.
    • Problem Solving Committee.
  • Set the requirement and procedures for the classification of working companies.
  • Work with Telecom Egypt to establish CIT membership as a requirement for participating in tenders.
  • Start working closely with companies to improve their classification standing.
  • Establish working relationship with Multi National Companies to increase the share of Local companies participation in their Egyptian operations.
  • Research possible value added recevices for potential export services.
