Project aims at improving the electricity management at the complex and reducing energy waste in the networks. On his side a high banking executive at ABB indicated that the project, implemented on turn key provides for furnishing a new sub station to host the equipment which would contribute in improving the power factor. |

| $ 180 million soft loan was raised by the Arab International Bank to part finance the foreign currency component of Al Shabab 600 MW power station in Ismailiya totaling $ 285 million. That was announced by Dr. Eng. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of the EEHC - Egyptian Electricity Shareholding Co. indicating that the station is part of the Energy Sector Plan 2012/ 2017. He also revealed that the loan is for repayment over 10 years including 3 years grace and that the project is scheduled for completion in 18 months. |

| France Telecom announced that negotiations are on going with two Moroccan business groups to acquire their stake in Meditel extending mobile telephone service to almost 10 million subscribers in the Kingdom. Moroccan Groups include Osman Bin Galloun Group and the Innovation and Finance Fund (a state owned bank). That was announced by a high ranking executive at France Telecom indicating that it is premature to give any financial details of the deal. Competing for the deal, according to media reports, is Etisalat of the UAE. Meanwhile informed Moroccan sources, quoted in the media, indicated that two Gulf business groups have expressed interest to acquire a stake in Meditel since the last quarter of 2009. |
